London socialites including Daisy Lowe, Sarah Harding and Lola Lennox are flown in for the normally stuffy Henley Royal Regatta.
The normally staid event got an unusual injection of London scenesters yesterday who were helicoptered in by Mayfair club Mahiki.
Club owner Nick House, who is hosting a Mahiki tent at the annual summer boaterfest, chartered a chopper for VIP guests, including Daisy Lowe, Sarah Harding, DJ Tommy Crane and Lola Lennox.
The four-seat craft made five return journeys to pick up celebs there.
Sarah Harding has revealed she loved shooting her “gritty” role in BBC Two drama Freefall.
The Girls Aloud star said she wanted to play hairdresser Sam because it was something different.
“I really enjoyed doing it, one of the main reasons I wanted to do Freefall was that it’s a complete contrast to what people see of me from being in the band – it’s a gritty role and a gritty film,” she said.
And Sarah is keen to flex her acting muscles again.
“Freefall showcases what I can do, and for (director) Dominic Savage to have faith in me must mean something!” she gushed.
“Singing was always my main ambition, but acting was something else I wanted to achieve. I hope my acting career will go from strength to strength and I’d love to work with Dominic again.”
Freefall airs on July 14 on BBC Two.
We have now got a date for when The X Factor premiers on ITV.
Confirmed by Holly Willoughby on her Official Twitter page, The X Factor will start to air on Saturday 22nd August 2009.
This date is now added to our events calendar on the sidebar. Included in the calendar is the confirmed date for Sarah Harding’s acting role in BBC2 new drama, Freefall. This date is the 14th July 2009.

The X Factor contestants may have thought that this was their moment in the spotlight, but all eyes were on the judges as the X Factor auditions hit Manchester today.
Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue both showed off their trim figures, but also displayed their radically different sense of fashion. And although Cheryl may be the one billed as a budding fashionista, it was Australian Dannii who won in the style stakes.
Cheryl, 26, wore a purple miniskirt, with a playful bow on the waist, paired with a striped shirt.
But with one too many buttons undone she looked more like a WAG than she has in months.
Her rival in the style stakes, 37-year-old Dannii, wore a clinging black jumpsuit, with asymmetrical white jumper draped over the top.
The two, who have been billed as rivals since Cheryl joined the series last year, held hands as they pressed through the scrum of paparazzi and fans surrounding their hotel.
Cheryl Cole celebrated an X-tra special birthday – as it was revealed she is set to front a US version of The X Factor.
The Girls Aloud singer turned 26 with a £60,000 surprise party thrown by Chelsea and England soccer star husband Ashley, 28.
And the icing on the cake came when she learned she had been specially chosen by Simon Cowell to take his top-rated TV show across the Atlantic.
Senior US executives from NBC are due to fly to Manchester this weekend to see her in action at the live auditions.

Cheryl and Ashley arrived hand in hand on 2nd July to Nobu Berkeley Restaurant. This was their 2nd night out in a row. Cheryl wore tight black jeans, a black vest and silver sequinned jacket and of course, towering heels. She was also spotted wearing her wedding ring, since Wednesday night it was missing from her finger.
I’ve added 2 new HQ Sarah Harding pictures on the set of ‘Freefall‘, which is apparently to air on the 14th July on BBC 2! It was supposed to air in June, but the date keeps getting pushed back.
Arriving at her 26th birthday party in a show-stopping, revealing dress, Cheryl Cole was pretty much guaranteed to be the centre of attention.
Partying at Vanilla private members club in London, the Girls Aloud singer pulled out all the stops in a £4,000 daring sheer, fringed mini-dress by British designer Alexander McQueen.
But Cheryl couldn’t have anticipated being upstaged by her own mother Joan Callaghan, 49, who forwent knickers for the occasion.
Escorted by footballer husband Ashley Cole, Cheryl teamed the dress with £495 Christian Louboutin nude patent prive slingback heels.
The Coles and Joan joins a host of the singer’s celebrity pals at the party, including Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Girls Aloud bandmembers Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.
But by the end of the night, it was Joan who was causing the biggest stir among the assembled paparazzi as her desperation to keep up with the young ones became all too obvious.
Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding doesn’t feel ready to start a family yet – even though her boyfriend, DJ Tom Crane, keeps talking about settling down.
Sarah Harding is under pressure from her doctor to get pregnant.
The Girls Aloud beauty – who has been dating DJ Tom Crane for two years – says both Tom and her physician think she should have a baby in the near future, but she doesn’t feel ready to settle down yet.
The 27-year-old star said: ‘Tommy says to me, ‘So, when are we going to have the real thing?’ but my dog Claude is the only baby I feel ready for right now.
‘Even my doctor thinks I should get cracking, but there’s still so much I want to do and when I have children I want to be able to be at home for them.’
Although rumours are rife the couple are set to marry later this summer, Sarah insists there’s no truth in them and insists they are happy with their relationship.
She said: ‘I have no idea where that came from, but someone’s telling lies. You have to be engaged to plan a wedding, but there’s no ring. We’re in no rush to get married.’
The Girls Aloud Singles Boxset is now out, with many of you who ordered, recieving it in the mail this week.
